As the Fundraiser you will prepare a three year strategy that indicates income levels from each income stream and the resources required to deliver the targets set. You will ensure a readily available list of current fully costed and detailed fundable projects to present to donors. As the Fundraiser you will ensure there is a constant pipeline of donor prospects. Income streams will include: Trusts and Foundations, Regular giving from Individuals, High value donors, Corporate Partners, Staturory and Events.

Develop and implement a strategy to increase unrestricted funding. Ensure that all donors and prospect records are maintained on a central system.

They are embarking on a new fundraising focus and this role is fundamental, the ideal candidate will support the Charity with new product innovation / development and implementation. Someone with good knowledge of the mass participation market is key. As this is a brand new team/role with great opportunity for someone to shape it and make it their own (a rare opportunity) however experience in working with agencies, product development, strong management skills, ability to lead on multiple projects at the same time, keep to deadlines and bring stakeholders along with you is absolutely key.

As the Community Fundraising Manager you will develop and manage implementation of all community and events activity focusing on increasing long term sustainable income as part of their new strategy, whilst supporting and raising awareness of their work. Responsible for the setting, management and reporting of budgets for own portfolio of activities & events (with final budget sign off from the Head of Income Generation).

Makes functional based decisions on community and events strategy implementation and constant operational ones.

Autonomy to develop their community and events products and strategies but will consult with Head of Income Generation on significant or medium risk decisions. Some authority to sign off community and events communications and marketing outputs. Develop a community strategy (nationally and locally) that will engage, educate and inspire their target audiences, to maximise income. To develop and grow a portfolio of mass participation events to meet desired engagement & income targets, and assist in the implementation and delivery of cross-organisational special events.

Take responsibility for building relationships with their network of county branches and volunteers, community leaders, schools, local partners and ambassadors to secure collaboration and long-term support. Managing and developing team member(s) to ensure fulfilment of operational objectives and values.

The Direct Marketing Manager plays a vital role in developing the strategic direction and delivery of their fundraising and communications strategy. Charity Talent are recruiting for a Major Donor Officer for a well-known International Development Charity to support their Major Donor Fundraising Department. This is an asap start and is a permanent role.

As the Major Donor Officer you will manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors, focusing on cultivation, stewardship, and uplift strategies, and matching donor interests to projects. You will use philanthropy and Individual Giving trends to contribute to the High Value Programme and to plan relationships with major donors, conduct research, and identify prospective major donors, new fundraising techniques and engagement strategies.

As the Major Donor Officer you will ensure excellent relationship management through written and in-person communications, for example, drafting proposals and preparing narratives and budgets, and working with colleagues at all levels to carry out donor meetings. As the Major Donor Fundraising Assistant you will support the Major Donor Manager to maintain their Supporter Database. Carry out background research on their existing donors.

You will set up meetings with prospective donors, drafting thank you letters to donors. Update of their Major Donor page on their website. Coordinate and draft a mailing to be sent to a small segment of their Major Donor portfolio

You will also be responsible for ad-hoc duties as and when requested by the Manager.

Experience:

Self-starter with strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail
Good general administrative skills, including word processing, using spreadsheets, and mail-merging
Good organisational skills with a methodical approach to working on a number of tasks simultaneously while prioritising and working to deadlines
