Charity Talent are recruiting for a Direct Marketing Manager to work for a Social Welfare Charity, this is an immediate start, working from home until temporarily due to Covid-19. This is a Temp to Perm job.
Responsible for the development and delivery of multi-channel direct marketing activities to inspire and motivate warm supporters to continue supporting and new supporters to support for the first time. Contributing a minimum of £42 million annually to the charity's work. Work with the Head of Individual Giving on the Individual Giving strategy, annual plan and budget, including the flagship £20M Christmas campaign. You will Project manage all warm cash appeals (February, Easter, June, Summer, Autumn, Christmas) with support from the IG Assistants to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded - from research and brief, creative, testing, data selections, results, review and recommendations. Ensure a digital presence for all appeals.
Project manage all Christmas recruitment activities (DRTV, cold mail, doordrop, inserts, press, digital (including PPC, Facebook & Instagram, display)) with support from the Officer and IG Assistants to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded and new contactable supporters are recruited at an acceptable cost per acquisition. Manage channel selection, media planning, creative development, testing, results, review and recommendations. Develop a strategy to optimise Direct Debit giving from the warm audience and implement - including conversion and upgrade mailings (and possibly telephone) and managing reactivation campaigns. Manage, motivate and develop two Individual Giving Assistants and a Digital Officer.
Develop and monitor the budget providing monthly updates on income and expenditure and making sure information is accurate. Work with procurement on cost savings. Lead and develop the loyalty programme - welcome programme and thank you postcards, Annual Review, bi-annual supporter survey, supporter insight. Manage relationships with key suppliers, such as the print management & digital agency.

As the Supporter Care Team Leader you will be responsible for building and sustaining a strong profession team to deliver excellent customer service and you will be responsible for the continuous learning and development of colleagues, technology and the service. You monitor quality assurance activities for Supporter Care, the Helpline and Advocacy services. Interpret data and themes and make recommendations to drive continuous improvement. Coach, monitor and develop the Customer Care Team. You will also assist with recruitment and training.
Act as an escalation point to support Customer Care colleagues, and customers with complaints or difficult issues.Act as a Designated Safeguarding Person, as part of the organisation's Safeguarding. Ensure that within area of responsibility that the organisation is kept Safe, Legal and Healthy and where areas of risk are identified, actions are taken to either eliminate them or reduce them to an acceptable. Engage externally with lead organisations to generate new learning and identify innovation that can be brought back into the organisation.
