Charity Talent are recruiting for a Brilliant Cancer Charity based near Liverpool Street Station. You will be going into the Office 2 days per week and the rest working from home. This is permanent jobs with an immediate start.

Their Fundraising Department is responsible for engaging new and existing supporters and building relationships with them to enable them to provide the growing income needs to deliver their vision that by 2050. This is a really exciting time to join the Charity. They fund the brightest minds to discover how to prevent cancer, how to detect it earlier and how to treat it effectively at every stage.

You will manage and review a programme of acquisition and retention direct marketing fundraising campaigns in order to increase their income. You will be responsible for delivering agreed activity to achieve/exceeding income targets through a range of communication channels, including door to door, private sites, direct mail, telemarketing, email, internal communication and any other relevant channel Key tasks and duties.

Plan, deliver and manage direct marketing campaigns to recruit, develop and build relationships with supporters through a variety of channels to schedule and budget. Management of direct marketing including briefing agencies, sourcing material, managing data selections, appraising creative copy and artwork, managing the approval and production process, proofing, setting up and monitoring campaign fulfilment

To take accountability for ensuring that assigned Direct Marketing campaigns are managed against agreed expenditure levels. To track, analyse and report on results from assigned Direct Marketing campaigns. Review direct marketing campaigns and ensure information is used to inform future plans as appropriate.

Brief and manage internal and external suppliers, acting as point of contact for day to day queries and results management.

You will have demonstrable experience of working within a Fundraising / Marketing Environment.

This will be a great opportunity for recent graduates who has transferable skills and like to develop a Career in the Charity Sector, although they are entry level jobs we do require candidates to have some Customer Support experience or have some Fundraising Database experience. You will Provide excellent customer service by ensuring the prompt, efficient and accurate processing of all communications from supporters by telephone, email, letter and in person. Use agreed letter templates and produce bespoke responses using the fundraising database, Word and email. Handle difficult and distressed supporters in a sensitive and skilled manner.

Accurately enter new data and amend existing data on the fundraising database following contact from supporters, and in line with the Battersea's policies and procedures. To process and thank appropriately incoming donations from supporters. Liaise with other Fundraising teams and Finance to ensure correct coding is applied to donations to track the source of fundraising income.

You will have proven experience of working in a customer services environment.

Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to show empathy, tact and diplomacy.

Strong administration skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Fundraising Database Administrator

£21000 - £23000 per annum

re you a talented Fundraising Database Assistant/Processor, or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience of processing Gift Aid claims and can deal with a wide range of administrative tasks? If so then you could be perfect for my client, a Social Welfare Charity based in London. This is an on-going temp contract.

The Role:

In this temporary Fundraising Database Assistant/Processor role you will be supporting the Gift Aid fundraising team. You will be pirmarly responsible for communicating with the wider team to support donors. Specific tasks include:

  • Processing claims onto the system
  • Communicating with the wider team of claim issues and paperwork
  • Editing and updating donors on the fundraising database
  • Assisting with the management of paper based documents for evidence
  • Assisting the Gift Aid supervisor on the creation and submission of claims
  • You will organise and process all data related to the donors

Fundraising Event Support Assistant

This is an immediate 2 month temp role to support during their awareness month. This is a ASAP start. It will be working from home and 2 days in the office.

The Role: As the Fundraising Event Support Assistant you will be doing the following:

  • Monitor and manage the inboxes, phones and new fundraising pages.
  • Set up new supporters on the fundraising database, following set out processes.
  • Support and steward supporters over the phone and email.
  • Send out fundraising materials and assist the team in supporting their key supporters.
  • Thank all supporters (Community and In Memory) in a timely and personalised way via email, letters and over the phone.

Fundraising Customer Support Advisor x4

£21000 - £24000 per annum

This is a permanent full-time position. The training and probation will be in the London office and then flexible working thereafter.

The Role: As the Fundraising Customer Support Advisor you will be the first point of contact for supporters and members.

  • You will respond to queries, mostly by phone but also email, letter, social media and web chat on all aspects of their work. You will effectively respond to all enquiries, requests for information and complaints received into their Supporter Care team, taking ownership of these enquiries.
  • This role is to put the supporter at the heart of every engagement by delivering excellent customer services
  • You will also support on maintaining electronic and written communications within the database to ensure customer records are kept up to date and information is available for management reports.
  • You will also be undertaking general day-to-day admin, including sending thank you letters and acknowledgements.

If so then you could be perfect for my client, a Social Welfare Charity based in London. This is an ongoing temp role and will be working in the office near Elephant and Castle.

The Role: As the Fundraising Donor Administrator you will be doing the following:

  • You will be responsible for dealing with all fundraising enquiries from donors via email and telephone.
  • You will also assist with the organisation of the Fundraising Products team storage and materials.
  • Empty correspondence boxes on a daily basis
  • Answer donor correspondence using templates set up on the database
  • Deal with queries passed on by telephone response handling agency
  • Mail merge and print letters relating to direct debits on a weekly basis
  • Amend names, addresses and other information on the database
  • Take minutes at Donor Services meetings

The Role: As the Fundraising Data Analyst you will be doing the following:

  • You will be responsible for the extraction of data from the fundraising database system. You will assist the Reporting and Technical supervisor in the maintenance and upgrade management for the Fundraising Database (Sugar CRM).
  • You will be responsible for the production of results analysis (performance reports) for all fundraising teams, predominantly individual giving, also Events and Trusts.
  • You will support the Database Assistants in their role of data movement in and out of the fundraising database and donor analysis.
  • Identification of prospect referrals through continued data screening and datamining.
  • Perform data extraction and manipulation to prepare for activities and develop reports to assess their effectiveness.
  • KPI Reporting & Business Planning - Collate, analyse and validate statistical data for KPI reporting on supporter recruitment.

The Candidate: To be considered for the Fundraising Data Analyst role you will need to possess the following skills:

  • Experience with CRM (ideally SUGAR) systems and database engineering and analysis.
  • Strong relational database technical skills, including intermediate SQL query writing and analysis (e.g. Raiser's Edge, ThankQ).
  • Experience with data visualisation and analysis - especially Power BI essential.
  • GDPR compliance and adopting privacy by design approach to working with any personal data.
  • Experience of working in a specialised supporter environment.
  • Ability to interpret data online and offline data and apply CRM theory and skills to convert supporters.

Grants and Programme Coordinator

£29000 - £30000 per annum

Are you a talented Grants and Programme Coordinator, or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience supporting a wider team to help build a community of grant holders? If so then you could be perfect for my client, an Education and Well-being Charity in London. This role is permanent.

The Role: In this Grants and Programme Coordinator role, you will report to Grants Operations Team Leader. Specific tasks include:

  • Responsible for grants administration across the charity.
  • Initial point of contact for queries from existing grant holders.
  • Working proactively with Programme Heads and Directors to manage the grants portfolios.
  • Handling change requests from grant holders: ensuring these are passed to relevant staff and that requests are responded to within agreed service levels.
  • Keeping electronic records up to date for grants
  • Tracking outputs and events relating to grants and where appropriate.
  • Monitoring final completion of grants against requirements, including end of project assessment requirements
  • Providing general grants operational support across the Grants team as needed, including processing invoices; and dealing with budget and invoice queries with grant applicants.

If so then you could be perfect for my client, a Faith Charity in London. This role is 9 month FTC with the possibility to extend.

The Role: In this Direct Marketing (Fundraising) Officer role, you will report to Individual Acquisition Manager. Specific tasks include:

  • Deliver direct marketing and digital campaigns to recruit supporters.
  • Plan multi-channel campaigns including channels such as direct mail; paid social; paid search,DRTV and telephone.
  • Precise budgeting, based on past results and using clear and realistic assumption.
  • Define clear target audiences for all campaigns using accurate data and market analysis.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues.

Charity Talent are recruiting for a Supporter Care Assistant for an Animal charity. This role is to put the supporter at the heart of every engagement by delivering excellent customer service.

This is around a 4 month temp role with the possibility to extend. This is a ASAP start. It will be working from the office 3 days a week based in Battersea. 

The Role: As the Supporter Care Assistant you will be the first point of contact for supporters and members. You will respond to queries, mostly by phone but also email, letter, social media and web chat on all aspects of their work. You will effectively respond to all enquiries, requests for information and complaints received into their Supporter Care team, taking ownership of these enquiries. 

You will also do the following tasks:

  • You will maintain electronic and written communications within the database to ensure customer records are kept up to date and information is available for management reports. 
  • You will keep an up-to-date knowledge of the full range of services, products, campaigns and activities across this Charity.
  • You will thank supporters for their donations (monetary and gifts)
  • Helping the team with the franking and opening of post
  • Financial batching
