Charity Talent are recruiting for a Social Welfare Charity, they are recruiting for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to start asap. Working from home with Flexi hours (25 - 35 hours per week).

There may be the opportunity to have some face-to-face meetings in London or Cambridgeshire but these would be optional rather than a hard requirement.

As the Marketing and Communications Assistant you will be responsible for management and triaging of communications Inbox.

Maintenance of Intranet, basic support for colleagues in terms of posting articles, management of home page. Drafting and building of internal communications (monthly e-newsletter and other e-comms using Campaign Monitor). Coordination and upkeep of our marketing materials (point of contact for resolving issues through external ordering portal and printers, ensuring stock levels. Communications elements of coordination of their stories library and filing system. Uploading and updating website content (using our Craft CMS - very straight-forward, does not require any specific coding skills). Coordination of their social media calendar and basic design of social media content with agreed messaging (using InDesign and using on established templates with ready made illustrations and branded content).

Coordination of marcoms elements of service launch or closure (only for 'standard' services, with agreed templates and mini project plans already in place). Proofing and editing of materials, articles, etc.

Experience:

You will have proven experience of working in a Marketing / Communications Capacity.


Digital Marketing Consultant

£15 - £18 per hour

Charity Talent are recruiting for a Children's Charity based in East London, you will work from home and go into the Office a couple of days per week, this is a short term contract, 2 weeks possibly longer.

Be the technical lead for their websites and associated products in support of marketing, including Mailchimp, Eventbrite and their successors. Manage user licenses, domains and billing. Deliver training and guidance to staff to use products effectively and in line with agreed protocols and standards. Provide first line technical support to staff to resolve issues. Liaise with their website support partner to resolve issues and make improvements.

Oversee the performance of digital products by gathering, analysing and reporting on performance metrics

Provide support for their stakeholder database, Salesforce. Provide first line technical support to staff to resolve issues, escalating and delegating to team members as appropriate. Maintain training and guidance resources to ensure these are kept up to date with changes to the system and processes. Manage users' access to the system, including onboarding and retiring starters and leavers. Upload bulk datasets to Salesforce when required.

Support current use of digital marketing products and processes that use these effectively to promote our work via email marketing. Will analyse current digital products to oversee performance and inform requirements for future development.

  • Experience of managing website Content Management Systems (CMS) and domain management.
  • Experience using email marketing tools, particularly Mailchimp
  • Experience of assessing web and social media metrics, including use of Google Analytics.

Desirable

  • Experience of using Salesforce CRM
  • Knowledge of effective digital marketing products, tools and strategies.
  • Knowledge of best practice in digital accessibility standards.
  • Knowledge of data protection and security.

Press Officer

£30000 - £33000 per annum

Are you a talented Press Officer, or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience delivering national news stories? If so then you could be perfect for my client, a Faith based Charity in London. This is a 6 month FTC can be full time or part time.

The Role: In this Press Officer role, you'll report to the Media Manager. Specific tasks include:

  • Support the Media Manager and colleagues to deliver and implement external communication strategies and insightful evaluation.
  • Deliver national news stories and features to achieve national media broadcast, print and digital channel coverage
  • Draft, edit and distribute cross-platform press materials
  • Identify, interview and write up case studies
  • Draft plans for designated national media campaigns and opportunities
  • Provide advice to department and service heads on sensitive and complex communications challenges, including within issues management situations

The Candidate: To be considered for the Press Officer role you will need to demonstrable proven media relations experience and strong national media contacts.

Additionally, it's crucial that you possess the following:

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and to prioritise work under pressure.
  • Ability to research and produce briefings and materials for the media.
  • Strong story-telling skills and creativity.
  • Ability to draft media strategies, plans and produce insightful evaluation.
  • Empathetic towards vulnerable people or people with complex lives

Media and Key Campaign Manager

£42000 - £45000 per annum

Are you a talented Media and Key Campaign Manager, or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience supporting digital campaigns and strategies? If so then you could be perfect for my client, a Faith based Charity in London. This is a temp (4 months) to perm role.

The Role: In this Media and Key Campaign Manager role, you'll report to the Head of PR and Communications. Specific tasks include:

  • Develop and implement proactive strategies to promote the work.
  • Lead awareness campaigns, in particularly around social exclusion, homelessness, addiction and modern slavery.
  • Help manage charity reputation including crisis communications and taking part in the 'out of hours' rota.
  • Assist the Media Manager to run the press office.
  • Support the production of digital content including video, graphics and images.
  • Develop and sustaining positive relationships with department and unit heads to source stories and content.
  • Deliver training, advice and support on external communications.

The Candidate: To be considered for the Media and Key Campaign Manager role you will need to demonstrable minimum of 8 years' experience in PR, communications or journalism, press and digital work.

Additionally, it's crucial that you possess the following:

  • Ability to hook on-going campaigns onto breaking news and trending topics.
  • Analysing and reporting the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Ability to work independently, to deadlines and to prioritise work under pressure
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when required including taking part in the 'on call' rota.

Communications Coordinator - International Dev

£18 - £19 per hour

Are you a talented Communications Coordinator - International Dev, or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience with supporting the production of publications? If so then you could be perfect for my client, a International Development Charity in London. This role is 6 month temp role with the possibility to extend.

The Role: In this Communications Coordinator - International Dev role, you will report to Content Manager. Specific tasks include:

  • Serve as an in-house editor for the Advocacy and Communications team.
  • Manage the production of publications for the organization.
  • Provide publishing advice to programme staff based in London and oversees.
  • Manage and liaise with external vendors, including editors, translators, graphic designers, printers, photographers, etc.
  • Coordinate dissemination planning for publications between the team including drafting key messages for use on social media.
  • Support the planning and delivery of priority external events.
  • Assist the Senior Communications Officer with logistics for events, including developing applications, and coordinating stakeholder participation.
  • Contribute to team-wide communications and knowledge management.

The Candidate: To be considered for the Communications Coordinator role you will need to demonstrable proven experience with copy-editing reports and other communications materials for a variety of audiences. Charity Talent also need you to have good knowledge of branding. Additionally, it's crucial that you possess the following:

  • Proven experience writing and producing high-quality communications materials.
  • Excellent computer literacy and use of software packages (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • An ability to work independently, in teams and in a multicultural/multilingual environment

Digital Officer

£150 per day

Are you a talented Digital Officer, or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience providing technical insight and user support for growing portfolio of digital products? If so then you could be perfect for my client, a Children Charity in London. This role is temporary for three months with the possibility to extend and remote working.

The Role: In this Digital Officer role, you will report to the Head of Digital and will be line managing 1 officer. Specific tasks include:

  • Deliver training and guidance to staff to use products effectively and in line with agreed protocols and standards.
  • Liaise with website support partner to resolve issues and make improvements.
  • Oversee the performance of digital products by gathering, analysing and reporting on performance metrics
  • Provide first line technical support to staff to resolve issues.
  • Support current use of digital marketing products and processes that use these effectively to promote work via email marketing.
  • Will triage support issues, resolving, escalating or delegating to team members or external support partners as appropriate.
  • Will analyse current digital products to oversee performance and inform requirements for future development.
  • Will work with the Development Team to make sure that technical management of the website is aligned with content management.

The Candidate: To be considered for the Digital Officer role you will need to demonstrable experience managing website Content Management Systems (CMS), particularly Drupal, and domain management. Charity Talent also need you to have prior experience in email marketing tools, particularly Mailchimp.

Additionally, it's crucial that you possess the following:

  • Experience of assessing web and social media metrics, including use of Google Analytics.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with data.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload with limited supervision and work to deadlines.
