Charity Talent are delighted to be working with The Ben Kinsella Trust as they look to appoint a driven and passionate Youth Programmes Officer.

The Ben Kinsella Trust is a UK charity founded in response to the murder of Ben Kinsella in 2008. Its mission is to educate young people about the dangers of knife crime and help them make positive choices to stay safe. The charity provides workshops and online resources to change attitudes towards knife crime and strengthen peer values. Over 20,000 young people have participated in its Choices and Consequences Exhibitions, and its online resources have benefited over 10,000 young people in the past year. The charity is small but has established itself as a leading anti-knife crime organization, using its position to campaign against factors contributing to increasing knife crime.

Are you a talented Youth Programmes Officer, or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you can deliver The Ben Kinsella Trust programmes to a very high standard? If so, then you could be perfect for our client. We are looking for an education or youth work professional.

Key points about the role:

  • This post covers two sites in Islington (EC1V) and Barking and Dagenham (IG11) and will be 5 days a week on either site as well as outreach to new schools in London.
  • Hours 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 09:30am-5pm. Occasionally you may be required to work outside of these hours and will receive time off in lieu.
  • £23,000 - £25,000 per annum
  • The initial contract is for 2 years, but there is every hope and expectation that this will be extended.

Specific tasks include:

  • The key responsibilities of the role are centered around the delivery of the Trust's anti-knife crime workshops.
  • The role involves delivering these workshops to various groups, adapting the curriculum to suit their needs, and ensuring that they are delivered to a high standard.
  • The candidate is responsible for collecting and analysing survey data to influence program design and contribute to the Trust's continual development.
  • They are also responsible for the logistical coordination of workshops across two sites, acting as a point of contact for enquiries and bookings, and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • The candidate will administer the internal CRM and bookings systems, maintain accurate records, and generate reports as necessary.
  • They will also be responsible for coordinating the staffing of workshops across two sites by building positive relationships with freelance facilitators and actors and assisting the Regional Manager with their training, induction, and ongoing monitoring.

The job requires a candidate with experience in delivering education or training to young people, especially those with diverse backgrounds, managing challenging behaviour, and coordinating multiple tasks. Administrative skills and knowledge of online systems are necessary. Designing educational programmes are desirable. The candidate must possess the ability to educate young people and work in a team while representing the Trust positively. Knowledge of knife crime and/or youth violence in London and facilitation/teaching techniques are also essential.

    We are recruiting for a Fundraising Administrator for an NHS Trust.

    Location: 3 days in the office near Wembley Park Station (North London) (HA9) or 2 days in Wembley Park and 1 day near Kings Cross Station (N1)

    Duration: 3-month temp role, part-time (21 hours per week)

    We are seeking an Fundraising Administrator who will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the whole fundraising team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To be the first point of contact for a range of enquiries, including promptly responding to telephone calls, emails and letters.
