Outdoor Venue Manager

£35000 - £36000 per annum
 

Job Description

Are you a talented Venue Manager, or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience with outdoor events? If so then you could be perfect for our client, a leisure and cultural Charity in London.

The Role: In this Venue Manager role you'll report to the Head of Events. Your prime responsibility will be managing corporate hires, promotional events, and supporting community hirers to ensure that they deliver safe and successful events in public spaces.

The Specific tasks include:

  • Providing all information regarding the event logistics.
  • Assisting in developing and creating new event business.
  • Ensuring all event application paperwork per event is complete and compliant with the requirements of the Event Policy
  • Liaising directly with the wider team required for events including all contractors and reporting any venue maintenance requests.
  • Attending events to provide onsite support and ensuring that organisers adhere to the solutions of their risk assessments
  • Managing a small team of 3 individuals (event coordinators and assistants)
  • Dealing with relevant queries and complaints raised by clients, members of the public and suppliers or contractors.
  • Guiding and advising local Friends groups and community stakeholders through the event management process
  • Educating community groups on best practices in health and safety practices as well as practical event operations
  • Updating Priava with venue bookings and the budget with all recorded income and expenditure

The Candidate: To be considered for the Venue Manager role you will need to demonstrable experience in parks, outdoor venues or local authorities with processing event applications. Charity Talent also need you to have prior experience managing and creating health and safety paperwork and RAMS.

Additionally, it's crucial that you possess the following:

  • Confidence and patience in advising first time event organisers
  • Proficiency using a range of office software, including outlook, excel, booking software and databases
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects against tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings and late nights as required
  • Knowledge of the Purple Guide and IOSH/NEBOSH/NCRQ H&S Qualification (desirable)

The Charity/Organisation: This London based leisure and cultural Charity are the lead contractor to manage and improve 32 parks and green spaces as well as deliver leisure services throughout the Wandsworth borough.

    The Role: In this Fundraising Data Officer role, you'll report to the Database and Reporting Manager. Specific tasks include:

    • Be responsible for the integrity of the data, provide professional support and training to users, and lead on the processing of all gifts.
    • Ensure that the database (Raiser's Edge) is responsive to the evolving needs and is maintained and up to date (in line with data protection legislation)
    • Processing donations and gift aid, and regular housekeeping activities to ensure data accuracy and quality.
    • Undertake day-to-day oversight of database and usage including, code table management, data cleaning and other system coding.
    • Accurately enter and process all Development gifts (pledges, cash, cheques, direct debits, online giving) onto the system.

    • Create data selections for donor communication mailings, e-newsletters, and events, ensuring that the key data points are included, are accurate and that suppressions are always applied.

    The Candidate: To be considered for the Fundraising Data Officer role you will need to demonstrable experience in a similar database support role within a charity fundraising department. Charity Talent also need you to have prior experience with data entry (import), database administration (configuration) and reporting (query, export).

    Additionally, it's crucial that you possess the following:

    · In-depth knowledge and significant experience of using Raiser's Edge or another Fundraising database

    · Expertise in processing donations including processing and recording direct debits, cheques, importing gift data via batch, and submitting gift aid claims.

    · Advanced user of Excel (Pivots, Formulas) with experience of analysing large quantities of data and cross- reference data sets

    · Excellent understanding of GDPR and other data protection legislation and how this applies to data management

    · Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and meet tight deadlines.

    The Role: In this HR Project Coordinator role, you will report to People Services Manager (Project Manager) and working in the Project Task and Finish Group. Specific tasks include:

    • Extrapolate data reports from the HR database and check the accuracy
    • Manipulates the data to ensure reports are workable for the administrators
    • Co-ordinates the administration of the DBS checks
    • Liaises with managers and business partners to ensure the checks are carried out without delay and chase deadlines
    • Provide a weekly update to the project task to make sure project goals are met
    • Provide project management support to the wider team
