Job Description

Are you a talented Prospect Research and Data Officer, or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience identifying new prospects in relation to key business sectors or funding opportunities? If so then you could be perfect for our client, a Health Charity in London.

The Role: In this Prospect Research and Data Officer role you'll report to the Research and Operations Lead and will be working across Philanthropy and Partnerships Team. Specific tasks include:

  • Conducting research on prospective and current major donor, corporate and trust supporters.
  • Supporting the development of the donor pipeline ensuring data quality and monitoring of the donor database.
  • Ensuring current material held are in line with current data protection regulation (GDPR) and fundraising code of conduct.
  • Implementing a tracking system for existing donors and make recommendations towards donor development.
  • Supporting the wider team including Event team with the provision of data management of guestlists for events.
  • Reviewing on an ongoing basis media activity.
  • Supporting with relevant administration tasks.
  • Producing reports and fundraising analysis.

It will be working from home for the time being and eventually go back into their London office. The standard working hours for this job are 9.00-5.00 and it is a permanent contract.

The Candidate: To be considered for the Prospect Research and Data Officer role you will need to possess successful experience in in conducting prospect research. Charity Talent also need you to have prior knowledge of the current GDPR and Fundraising Code of Practice.

Additionally, it's crucial that you possess the following:

  • Excellent IT literacy skills including MS Excel and previously used a CRM system.
  • Ability to summarise significant amount of data.
  • Experience working within a Fundraising team such as processes and donor relations
  • Excellent analytical and research skills

    The Candidate: To be considered for the Fundraising Data Officer role you will need to demonstrable experience in a similar database support role within a charity fundraising department. Charity Talent also need you to have prior experience with data entry (import), database administration (configuration) and reporting (query, export).

    Additionally, it's crucial that you possess the following:

    · In-depth knowledge and significant experience of using Raiser's Edge or another Fundraising database

    · Expertise in processing donations including processing and recording direct debits, cheques, importing gift data via batch, and submitting gift aid claims.

    · Advanced user of Excel (Pivots, Formulas) with experience of analysing large quantities of data and cross- reference data sets

    · Excellent understanding of GDPR and other data protection legislation and how this applies to data management

    The Role: In this HR Project Coordinator role, you will report to People Services Manager (Project Manager) and working in the Project Task and Finish Group. Specific tasks include:

    • Extrapolate data reports from the HR database and check the accuracy
    • Manipulates the data to ensure reports are workable for the administrators
    • Co-ordinates the administration of the DBS checks
    • Liaises with managers and business partners to ensure the checks are carried out without delay and chase deadlines
    • Provide a weekly update to the project task to make sure project goals are met
    • Provide project management support to the wider team
