Are you a talented Media Manager, or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience supporting digital channels with stories and content? If so then you could be perfect for my client, a Faith based Charity in London. This is a permanent role.

The Role: In this Media Manager role, you'll report to the Head of PR and Communications and will be line managing 2 communication officers. Specific tasks include:

  • Running the press office
  • Lead on securing high profile media coverage for campaigning, fundraising and community work
  • Provide advice to Senior Leadership on sensitive media and react quickly to relevant trends and breaking news
  • Deliver content and stories to feed into digital channels
  • Deliver training, advice and support on external communications.
  • Analyse and report back on the effectiveness of the communications.

It will be working from home for the time being. This role is permanent. The standard working hours for this job are 9.00-5.00. Be prepared to travel to attend meeting and events take part in the out of hours media rota.

The Candidate: To be considered for the Media Manager role you will need to demonstrable experience of delivering major national campaigns incorporating traditional and social media. Charity Talent also need you to have prior experience of running a press office or communications team.

Additionally, it's crucial that you possess the following:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Clear understanding of the importance of branding and maintaining reputation
  • Ability to hook onto breaking news and trending topics.
  • A nose for good news story sometimes hidden in policy documents and meeting papers.
