Job Description

Are you a talented Temp Admin Assistant, or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience being part of a team and supporting on administrative tasks? If so then you could be perfect for my client, a Social Welfare Charity based in Birmingham.

This is an 8 week temp role with the possibility to go permanent and looking for someone to start ASAP. This role will be working from the office full time in the centre.

The Role: In this Admin Assistant role you'll report to the Contract Manager and will be provide responsive administrative support. Specific tasks include:

  • Be the first point of contact for the wider team.
  • Undertake quality Assurance checks on forms.
  • Provide recommendations for meeting the ongoing support needs of clients.
  • Input data onto the System to create client record.
  • Support with referrals for potential clients.
  • Distribute incoming email correspondence to designated team members for ongoing actions.
  • Accurately input data to Excel spreadsheets.
  • You will manipulate spreadsheets and add basic formulaes.

The Candidate: To be considered for the Admin Assistant role you will need to possess previous admin experience and data entry skills.

    £13 - £15 per hour

    Are you a talented Temp Services Administrator or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience providing administrative support to the pffice, Staff, and Board of Trustees? If so then you could be perfect for my client, a Children Charity based in London.

    This is a 21 hour (3 days) temp role for 2 months with the possibility to go perm. It is an ASAP start and will be working in the office near Victoria Station (SW1V).

    The Role: In this Temp Services Administrator role you'll report to the Programme Manager and will be primarily responsible for supporting the general day to day running of the charity. Specific tasks include:

    • Deal with all recruitment including respond to queries, track applications, take up references and process DBS checks.
    • Support volunteer training and social events, including coordinating invitations, attendance lists, room or venue bookings, refreshments, provision of stationary.
    • Inbox management - dealing with clients, donors and the public.
    • Input data on the database and Excel spreadsheets
    • Support meetings and events e.g., room bookings, catering and logistics as required
    • Process new referrals and contact those appropriate individuals.
    • Make updates to the website as directed.
    • Manage individual access to IT systems including creating/changing/deleting log-in accounts.
    • Run regular reports to check the quality and completeness of database information.
    • Process invoices, bank cheques, manage petty cash, and set up payments on the bank account.
    • Generate invoices for payment
    • Admin support to assist in the recruitment of volunteers.

  • Service Manager
    £38000 - £40000 per annum

    Are you a talented Service Manager, or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience working with asylum seekers and can ensure the smooth running of services with excellent internal processes for project design and delivery? If so then you could be perfect for my client, a Youth Charity based near Purley. This is an permanent role with hybrid working (1-3 days in their office) .

    The Role: In this Service Manager role you will be the key contact for most of the grants in the area and managing your own team. Specific tasks include:

    • Provide excellent leadership to the team, have a focus on staff wellbeing, and devote time to their senior management responsibilities. Line management of 2 direct reports and an additional 4.
    • Build strong local partnerships and influencing local practice and networks.
    • Support on the recruitment, training and induction of new staff and maintaining oversite of volunteer recruitment.
    • To hold team meetings, monthly staff one-to-one meetings and annual performance development reviews.
    • To lead the development of programme of activities and services.
    • To be responsible for implementing the monitoring and evaluation plans for the projects, working closely with the Impact Manager..
    • To ensure compliance with project funders terms and conditions.
    • To ensure financial procedures are followed by the Team and meticulous approach to expenses is adopted.
    • To lead on office health and safety with the Head of Finance and Internal Operations.

    Experience:

    • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
    • Proven Project Management.
    • Experience of working at a senior level within an organisation.
    • Experience of both group work and casework with refugees and asylum.
    • Experience of safeguarding (significant experience expected) .
    • Deep knowledge of the UK asylum and social care systems for unaccompanied asylum seeking children, young asylum seekers and refugees.
