Job Description

Are you a talented Temp Press and Media Officer or are you striving to be one? Can you demonstrate that you have experience supporting the Press team with all media communications? If so then you could be perfect for my client, a Health Research Charity based in London.

This is 2-month temp role with the possibility to extend, ASAP start, remote working with some attendance in the office a month and 21 hours a week (part time).

The Role: In this Temp Press and Media Officer role you'll report to the Senior Regional Communications Manager. Specific tasks include:

  • To create press releases for the Fundraising & Events team sharing the stories.
  • Write convincing stories to engage, inform and to recruit new and existing supporters to take action.
  • To work closely with the team understanding what types of activity is happening across the regions and to prioritise in terms of urgency and importance.
  • To share press contacts with the team to enable them to send out their own call to action press releases in their regions.
  • To work with the content and digital team to ensure the story gets a wider audience such as website, social media and were appropriate national news.
  • Work with the manager to create a robust process for information gathering/sharing in a timely manner, feedback and actions.
  • To source new opportunities where our stories can be told.
  • To help the PR team with media monitoring.

The Candidate: To be considered for the Temp Press and Media Officer role you will need to possess experience of working in a media or PR environment.

  • Experience in supporting the team meet goals and objectives.
  • Able to write press release on your own.

    Charity Talent are recruiting for a Temp Fundraising Supporter Care Executive to join a brilliant Bereavement Charity. The purpose of this role will be to join the fundraising team to deliver exceptional supporter care and provide operational and administrative services to the team.

  • Temp Fundraising Events Manager
    £20 - £24 per hour

    Charity Talent are recruiting for a Temp Fundraising Events Manager to work for a Disability Charity who have been incredibly successful with their Events. This is their busiest time of the year so a great time to get stuck in!

    This role is ASAP for 3 months with the possibility to extend. The role requires some attendance in the office but no more than 2 days a week. The office is near Euston Station (NW1)

    The Role: In this Fundraising Events Manager role, you will be line managing 3 people (2 officers and 1 assistant) and reporting to Head of Events.

    Specific tasks include:

    • Manage and oversee the 3rd party events with the aim increase recruitment levels and grow income.
    • Monitor and evaluate marketing and communication campaigns.
    • Work with the Digital teams to maximise opportunities to tell supporter stories.
    • Write and plan effective and innovative customer stewardship journeys.
    • Manage all financial reporting and budgeting for your projects accurately.
